UXC Content Strategy

The Bentley User Experience Center provides user research, usability testing and design strategy for a global list of clients, and performs over 50 studies per year in its two usability labs. They needed their website content to reflect their unique expertise, and help them continue growing in their innovation and strategy work. During my last semester as a Research Associate, I worked with them to create an action plan for keeping the content on their website fresh, compelling, and up to date - without sacrificing their focus on serving their clients.

The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7 is finally here!

Just got word from Ben Melançon that my friend Jacine Luisi now has an actual, printed and bound version of The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7 is now actually in her house. This is the project that I got involved with at the beginning of this year, and it's amazing to finally see it finished.

If you want to get a copy of the book (written by "many of the best minds in the business" — no, I had nothing to do with that tagline), check out http://definitivedrupal.org/purchase.

Gearing up to write

As I may have mentioned on this here blog (but also have been oddly quiet about), this summer is a Writing Summer. I’m in the middle of writing Drupal for Designers, a series of guides for O’Reilly geared towards designers who want to work with Drupal but don’t need yet another recipe book telling you how to download a module. It’s a great project, and one that I’m psyched to be doing. But I am noticing that the experience of writing a book, from a project management standpoint, is far different from the experience of creating a website.
