Talking about Web Type with Jason Pamental

Rifling through my research files, I came across this great interview with Jason Pamental on working with web type in Drupal 7. Hope you enjoy!

Dani: Talk to me about web type. How do you find that web type plays into this whole Design for Drupal thing?

Drupal for Designers: the Book

This book, which combines the first three Drupal for Designers guides with new and updated material, a more logical flow and better grammar, will be released in August of 2012. In it, I cover everything from planning and estimating projects to UX, visual design, theming and site building in Drupal. From O'Reilly:

New Book: Drupal for Designers

Drupal for Designers, which combines the first three guides in the Drupal for Designers series with a more logical flow, better grammar and some entirely new and updated content, is currently in production at O'Reilly Media. It's slated to come out in July/August 2012, but you can pre-order your copy today on Amazon.com.

Drupal for Designers: the Series

My second book project of 2011 consists of three separate guides for Drupal designers and solo site builders: Planning and Managing Drupal Projects (released September 2011), Design and Prototyping for Drupal (released December 2011) and Development Tricks for Designers (released Jan-Feb 2012).

The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7 is finally here!

Just got word from Ben Melançon that my friend Jacine Luisi now has an actual, printed and bound version of The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7 is now actually in her house. This is the project that I got involved with at the beginning of this year, and it's amazing to finally see it finished.

If you want to get a copy of the book (written by "many of the best minds in the business" — no, I had nothing to do with that tagline), check out http://definitivedrupal.org/purchase.

Drupal for Designers Website

The Drupal for Designers series, my second book project in 2011, walks designers through various elements of the Drupal design process, from working with clients and estimating projects to sketching and creating layouts that work with Drupal instead of against it. I even teach designers how to work with Drush! (cue evil laughing).

The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7

Entirely too long in waiting, Drupal 7 is now here (and running this here site!). APress, publishers of Pro Drupal Development among other titles, contracted Ben Melançon of Agaric to write the Definitive Guide to Drupal 7. He tapped his friends in the Drupal community — experts in site development, theming, and various aspects of working with Drupal — to help him complete this Herculean task.
